As a young girl in Zimbabwe, Tererai Trent only had one dream: to get an education. However, because she was a girl she was not afforded that opportunity. She was forced to marry at age 11, and by age 18 she had three children. Then one day she met Jo Luck from Heifer International who asked her about her greatest dream. “My name is Tererai, and I want to go to America to have an education, and I want to have a BS degree. I want to have a master’s, and I want to have a PhD,” she replied. The then 20-year-old wrote out her dreams on a scrap of paper that she later placed in a piece of tin and buried under a rock. In December 2009, Tererai will realize her grandest dream — earning her doctoral degree.

So, what is your greatest dream? Travel around the world? Become a bestselling authoress? Launch a business? No matter how impossible your desires may seem, this story proves all things are possible with God. All you have to do is write them on the tablet of your heart and believe.

Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart (Psalm 37:4).
